The City's Police Department is offering exciting opportunities for dedicated Police Officers seeking positions performing a full-range of stimulating law enforcement duties related to enforcing laws; patrolling the City; maintaining peace, investigating crimes, interviewing suspects and victims; conducting undercover and surveillance activities; and protecting the life and property of Coalinga citizens.

Minimum Qualifications:  Twenty-one years of age; a U.S. Citizen; high school and P.O.S.T. academy graduate; successfully pass a background investigation and a psychological and physical examination including drug and alcohol screening; possess a valid California Drivers License; proficient in firearms; and the ability to maintain professionalism, react effectively during stressful situations, and uphold the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics at all times.  Excellent benefits including medical, prescription, dental, vision and life insurance for employee.   Salary range of $3,432.95 - $4,381.42/month + up to 17% employer contribution of gross wages is contributed to a 401/457 retirement plan.  Apply immediately.  All positive and enthusiastic officers looking for a variety of challenging assignments are encouraged to apply.
